Poloju srihari wrote many songs, poetry related to telangana formation which were published in many newspapers like andhrajyothy ,sakshi ,eenadu Namasthe Telangana,Surya Netra (paksha patrika), he also writes ‘Balasahithyam’ & publishes poetry in government books, worked as Resource person for Telugu subject.

Received first prize from then Z.P Chairperson Gaddala Padma for making bathukamma, on the occasion of state festival celebrations organised by Telangana Tourism department.

Singapuram Balaiah has a special artistic talent such as drawings on peepal leaves, micro art on sesame seeds, bottle drawings and many wall paintings in the school premises.
He also made an excellent wall painting of the historical monument “Kakatiya Kalathoranam” inside the office room of the school.
